Christmas is a time for the whole family to be together. It is a time when loved ones who live far away finally come to visit; it is a time when the older members of the family and the young ones spend time all together. This is what makes Christmas so special. But it is also what makes us want to make Christmas special.
We do this by spending time setting the scene for the occasion. The first thing we do is set the Christmas scene. If it is snowing outside then your job is immediately made easier. Otherwise, we decorate the tree with all the ornaments that have been collected over the years and we hang string lights over the tree too.
These string lights can be used all over the home; they are safe and use very little electricity. They are wonderful because they look like little twinkling stars that you can use to decorate your home.
The next thing to think about is the presents – what to get for each long lost relative and young niece or nephew. Gift shopping can be an entire mission unto itself.
The next bit is the fun bit – planning and executing a delicious Christmas menu, which will be the highlight of Christmas. Getting the whole family to get together around the table and share a wonderful meal.
