OK, so you may not be expecting diamond earrings or a Mercedes car for christmas but just a little bit of thought will ensure a present that you genuinely like, and it needn't cost much.

How many times have we received perfume marketed for someone twice our age, shapeless tops or jumpers that would be more at home on a 90 year old or even worse the dreaded slippers!
